This charming memory play depicts a five year-old girl’s summer of discovery. Too young to play with her older siblings, and too old for her baby brother, Susan feels bored and stranded at her family’s summer home on Ontario’s Lake of the Woods. She is befriended by a neighbor, Mr. Moir, who lets her help with his gardening, and introduces her to the wonders of literature. Events take a magical turn when Susan finds a letter from a fairy – the proud Princess Nootsie Tah.

With Mr. Moir and Nootsie Tah as her guides, Susan follows her imagination from the Ontario woods to Alice’s Wonderland and Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream, to the high hills of Peru, and home again in the blink of an eye.

Great family entertainment, for adults and children age 8 and up.
