A Car Full of Goblins
Ride together for Halloween. It's the last workday of the month and it's Halloween, which means that carpooling tonight makes for a really cool evening! Talk with parents nearby and set up meeting spots. Ride together and park in neighborhoods rather than driving from house to house. Choose larger neighborhoods in order to decrease driving. Make sure to bundle the kids under their costumes to keep them warm, since you will be walking more. When driving, be mindful of other drivers and the possibility of children being out and about. This Halloween, be sure to have a happy, safe, and cool carpooling time!

One of the neatest ideas I had seen was several years ago this huge gang of spookers showed up at our door. Now my husband goes all out with the decorations and my only input is fun, not scary. When I went to the door there was a van pulling a hay wagon of these kids. The van and the hay wagon was all decked out including smoke and monster mash playing. There was all sorts of lights on this haywagon and the kids were having a blast. It was atleast 25 kids plus adults and when I finally got through handing out candy to everyone and the last parent was at my door with a toddler in their arms, I got to ask were they came from. It turned out it was a moving block party, it started in their neighborhood and as it traveled, more families joined in. They came a couple of years in a row but not last year and I have to say, my husband and I miss them. But what a wonderful idea and what better time for carpooling than now!
