5 minutes of caring

Reading is Fun(damental)

Reading is Fun(damental)

Reading books as a family makes it more fun.

One great way to help your child learn and grow at school is by reading together. Perhaps your child already has an assigned reading list or a worksheet to keep track of books they have read. Even if they don't (or if they're not in school yet), you can still make a list of the stories you've shared. Once your child hears her favorite story enough times, she will probably be able to "read it" back to you, or can make up her own story to go with the pictures. It's fun, it's educational, and it's quality family time.

I got library cards for both of my boys as soon as they were old enough, they are now 26 and 22. Our little god-daughter is 15 months old and when she is old enough I will take her to get her library card. Until then she has a library at our house and one at her home. I have to praise her mother for reading with her because she is severly dyslexic.
