5 minutes of caring
Star Light, Star Bright
What do you know about the night sky? Today is a full moon. If the weather is clear, take the kids out after dark and take turns pointing out the brightest stars and constellations. Can you find the North Star? The Big Dipper? Orion's Belt? Talk about how people all over the world see the same moon at night. Think of someone you know who lives across the country and talk about how that person can see the same things you're looking at. It's a great way to make the big world a little smaller and make kids feel closer to loved ones who aren't always nearby.

We love going out to watch the moon and the stars, just last night we were outside for a good 20 minutes and watched the moon rise over the mountains and a javelina walk down the street.
