Tell Someone!
Let them know they did a great job. Although we want to eat local, it can be a nice treat to go out. From the moment we sit down, there is usually someone instantly available to take our drink order. When the meal is finished, we use our tip to give an affirmation of a job well done to our waiter, but what about extending that affirmation to their supervisor? When you see someone do a good job, have your children thank the waiter and let their manager know about your experience. Sometimes managers only hear about the negative, so let's help spread a more positive message.

On the rare occasion that we go out, the manager is usually out front somewhere. Hubby gives me a hard time for filling out the little survey that comes with our meal but I think it's a great way to let managenment know how good/bad the service was.
