National Foster Care Month
Make a difference for kids outside your family. This month provides a unique opportunity to tell your kids about the realities that other families face. May is National Foster Care Month and in its honor, share with your kids some of the facts about foster care. After all, with more than 513,000 children and youth in America in foster care, chances are good that your kids will go to school or play sports with someone who's affected. Learn the facts and make your children more aware. If you're looking for where to start, check out this firsthand account of what it's like to be in foster care.
