Stories of Survival
Share with your kids the stories of those who've survived. As much as we may want to, we cannot raise our kids in a bubble or shield them from the truth forever. One way to begin to open up their worlds is to tell stories that need telling. Find an age-appropriate survival story to share with your children. Maybe it’s a story about a child who survived cancer. Or, if they are older, it may be a story about a Holocaust survivor or someone who made it through 9/11. Whatever the story, allow your children to hear tales of great hope in the midst of injustice in our world.
