This Little Light of Mine

This Little Light of Mine

Make a game out of saving energy.

To help conserve energy and to have a little fun, start a daily routine of "lights-off." During the day, go around the house and ask your kids to locate all the lights that are on. When they do, say things like, "Is anyone using that light?" or "Could we open the blinds instead?" and then go on to the next room. Before bedtime, play the game again and make sure that all the lights are off for the evening. This game will let them have some fun before bed, and will also teach them about energy usage and conservation.

I have gotten to be so bad about turning lights off that my 3 yr old tells daddy when he's left a light on, lol.My rule is if you can see a little you don't need the lights on (plus it helps your eyes get stronger in my opinion).
