5 minutes of caring
Play Fair
Teach your kids where their stuff came from. Help your children have a memorable relationship with the things they own by teaching them about fair trade. Rather than letting them think their toy or article of clothing comes from a store across town, teach them about the places where their toys were made. Use this opportunity to make a history lesson about the location where their item is coming from. Maybe it's how their new apron is made by a group of children and mothers living in Zimbabwe (that's in Southern Africa). For an extra step, pull out the map and show them where Zimbabwe is located.
