How can we teach our children about open mindedness?

There are countless ways of looking at life. I may think the ocean is green, while you think it's blue and the difference go on. Allow your children to color the sky red and look at the world from a their own perspective, even if it's different from other's. Each of us see things differently. Teach them that we don't have to invalidate someone else to validate our own views. Teaching our children that the world is full of different views instills open mindedness and keeps them from shutting out opportunities to learn from those differing looks of life.
