Start a Petition.

We've talked about signing petitions. Now, find a need and fill it. Get your kids involved in starting a petition. Find a local park that is set for demolition; find a neighborhood tree that developers hope to rip out. Get your kids to find others in support of the cause and sign. Send it to your City Counsel member. They may not "win" but they'll see how they can make a difference using their voice and finding others who share their feelings. Speaking up lets others see how critical it is to voice when you're in disagreement with something.
